Clintondale Marketing is Targeting Students

Marketing classes are some of the most popular CTE courses in high school, and Clintondale High School is continuously growing their offerings under first year teacher Tim Fisher.  Clintondale offers classes in Entrepreneurship, Sports and Entertainment Marketing, School Store, and School Store Management. Students are able to follow their course selections throughout their academic career to become a “completer” in the program.

Mr. Fisher is taking the courses outside the classroom in order for students to gain real life experience in Marketing. This year for March Careness, Mr. Fisher's school store class focused on raising money for the Dragon Community Outreach Program.  “ We managed to raise over $300, and we collected many canned goods, dry food goods, and toiletries for our Dragon Pantry,” Fisher explained. “Our Clintondale Dragons were very generous and were happy to donate these items.”  The Dragon Community Outreach Program is a charity that helps feed our  local Clinton Township residents.

Next year, the school store will partner up with the Graphic Art class to produce Dragon spirit wear to sell in the store.  Clintondale has its own print shop in the school.  The two CTE programs will work together to combine talents and help students gain important collaboration skills.
