A New Standard Of Excellence

CTE Programs are back at Mount Clemens Community School District, empowering students with skills that lead to success in college, careers, and beyond!

The HVAC Career and Technical Education (CTE) program at Mount Clemens Community School District provides students with a strong head start in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning field. This one-year program is structured as a two-hour instructional block, with students participating five days a week, two hours per day, allowing for consistent, immersive learning. The program is intentionally designed to balance multiple learning styles, ensuring students gain a well-rounded understanding of HVAC concepts.

Through hands-on instruction, students learn to identify and work with key components such as furnaces and condensers. Classroom instruction introduces them to the theories and principles of the trade, while training videos expose students to real-world applications that cannot always be replicated in a traditional classroom setting. Together, these methods prepare students for a successful and promising future in the HVAC industry.

The program has demonstrated great success in previous classes. Several students have gone on to pursue advanced training, while others have gained enough practical knowledge to perform basic repairs themselves, saving money and building confidence in their skills. Mount Clemens Community School District currently offers the only CTE HVAC program in Macomb County open to students from any Macomb County high school, making it a truly unique and life-changing opportunity.

Imagine your son or daughter graduating high school with a certificate of completion while also earning college credit through the dual enrollment program with Macomb Community College. Students may work toward an associate degree in Climate Control, giving them a powerful head start toward long-term career success.
